Melanocytic Nevus Care & Family Exchange Lecture

Caring for a child with a melanocytic nevus raises questions that can leave families anxious and unsure: Should it be treated now, or after the child grows up? Should we see a dermatologist or a plastic surgeon? Surgery or laser? On November 15, the Sunshine Social Welfare Foundation will host a lecture and family gathering featuring Dr. C.I. Yen, Director of General Plastic Surgery at our center, together with a Sunshine Foundation counseling psychologist. They will walk families through choosing a treatment, evaluating treatment at different ages, caring for scars after surgery, and helping children build confidence.
